We are lucky to be partnered with Spectrum Outfitters. They provide us with dead stock that cannot be sold due to minor defects, and we provide these free of charge to community members who need them.
What is a Binder?
Chest compression garments called Binders are underwear that is designed to reshape and flatten the wearer's chest to help to visually masculinise their silhouette. For many people the secondary sex characteristic of breast tissue can cause exacerbation of gender dysphoria. Binding can help alleviate this dysphoria and help people's bodies fit more comfortably into the clothes they want to wear. Binding is mostly utilised by the trans masculine community but has also historically been embraced by the Butch community and the garment can be used by anyone wanting to reduce the appearance of the chest.

Like any compression garment, binders can be a risk to your health. These issues mostly arise when the binder doesn't fit the wearer correctly, the wearer keeps the binder on for too long or for inappropriate activities such as strenuous aerobic exercise or sleeping.
However using a properly fitted binder, designed for compression is much safer than attempting to bind your chest using DIY methods or not for purpose materials. Common DIY binding techniques such as ace bandages, clingfilm or duct tape can cause serious injury to your ribs, your lungs, your heart, your breast tissue and skin. DO NOT EVER ATTEMPT TO BIND YOUR CHEST USING THESE METHODS.
For that reason, many people consider binding with a chest compression garment to be vital harm reduction. By making the safest option available for free, we hope to help alleviate dysphoria and reduce the chance of injury from unsafe binding practices.

Getting the correct size of binder is vital to safe binding and remaining comfortable in your new compression garment. You will need your chest measurement and your rib measurment.
