Volunteer with the TIN Wardrobe

As a TIN Wardrobe volunteer, you can have a real positive impact on trans, intersex and non-binary communities around the UK.

Help us free gender expression.

Even an hour of your time each week is enough to help hundreds of trans, intersex and non-binary people feel more comfortable in their skin.

Who we are

What's in it for you

Make a difference

Whether you're in the stock room or the socials, your work has a real impact for trans, intersex and non-binary people around the UK.

Find your community

Let's face it, it's hard to make friends as an adult. The TIN Wardrobe team is full of friendly and approachable trans folks - it feels like a family! And you'll meet new people when promoting the Wardrobe to your local community.

Develop new skills

Volunteering gives you the opportunity of developing skills and gaining experience to build your CV. You can try new things to see if they're a good fit for you, without the pressure of career choices.

Build confidence

With the current political climate, many trans, intersex and non-binary folks are nervous around social interaction. Working with our team and our wider network could help you to build confidence and feel better in your day-to-day life.

What you could do

We're committed to helping each volunteer use and develop their unique set of skills and build their own roles.

There are many roles that go into making the TIN Wardrobe successful, including:

  • Stock sorting/order packing (Cardiff only)
  • Volunteer recruitment
  • Social media
  • Website maintenance
  • Fundraising
  • Grant writing
  • Accounting
